Q: How do I schedule a photoshoot?
We have a form link available on our Contact Page, this link is also available at the bottom of each page on our website. Please note! To book your desired date a deposit of 1/2 of your desired package price is required, you must have this prepared the day of booking - the date is not yours until paid. Your deposit also serves as a non-refundable cancellation fee.
Q: Who do you photograph?
We photograph portraits and headshots, high school and college seniors, couples, families, cosplayers, and small business products. We're very passionate about creating a safe, chill, and happy environment while shooting - so leave the stress of posing, location, and outfit picking to us! We're here to help you every step of the way.
Q: What are my payment options?
We accept Venmo, and PayPal. Please note! A deposit of 1/2 of your desired package price is required, you must have this prepared the day of booking.
Remaining balance is due *at least* 24 hours before the day of your session, including the 1/2 of package and driving fee (if required). All additional fees (add-ons) are due the day you receive your gallery.
Q: Does Sharpe Shot Photography use AI?
Sharpe Shot Photography has never and will never utilize generative AI for any area of our business. Every photoshoot gallery delivered is fully edited by hand. Every email sent has been hand typed by our Owner and Head Photographer, Kelly. Every website update and social media post is made solely by our team. We are incredibly proud to say that we only use our own AI (our Actual Intelligence), and urge everyone to do the same; AI Data centers take up immense amounts of our planet’s natural resources, cause detrimental air pollution, light pollution, noise pollution, and water pollution, damage our native ecosystems and destroy wildlife habitats, and so much worse - we cannot allow this to continue happening, we have to stand together and be united! Regardless of your political views, data centers can and will result in extreme environmental damage which will affect every single person on this planet.

Q: What is your No-Tolerance policy?
Sharpe Shot Photography is committed to preventing abusive and discriminatory conduct in any form and providing a safe environment for the people we serve, online and in person. Any abusive or discriminatory acts will result in immediate dismissal and you will be prohibited from doing any future business with Sharpe Shot Photography.
There is no room for hate here.
Q: What is your No-Show Policy?
When you schedule a session with Sharpe Shot Photography, we set aside enough time to provide you with the highest quality experience and photos. Should you need to cancel or reschedule your session, please refer to the Sharpe Shot Photography Cancellation & Rebooking Policy. Any client who fails to show to their scheduled session and has not contacted us within 24 hours is considered a no-show. A leeway of 15 minutes past the scheduled start time is given. After that is considered a no-show.

- A first time no-show will be charged a $70.00 fee in addition to their deposit.

- A second time no-show will be charged a $100.00 fee in addition to their deposit.
- A third time no-show will be charged a $150.00 fee and will be prohibited from doing any business with Sharpe Shot Photography in the future.
Q: What is your Cancellation & Rebooking policy?
When booking a session date, make sure it's at least 2 weeks prior, if your desired booking date is less than 2 weeks away - contact us. If you must cancel or rebook your session, we respectfully ask at least 1 weeks notice.
Q: How is Sharpe Shot Photography eco-conscious?
Here at Sharpe Shot Photography we truly value the earth and all it provides for us.
That being said, 95% of our props and accessories are proudly secondhand - whether it's been thrifted, passed along, or donated to us. We use biodegradable "confetti" for sessions by using flowers and leaves, for examples please visit our senior portfolio. And it doesn't stop there - we are determined to find a location that fits your needs that's close to home, there's no need to drive hours away when there's a world of beauty in your own backyard! We have many locations options that are free, pet-friendly, and accessible all around Orion Township and Oakland County, we are always open to recommendations as well.
Q: What if I don't know a location for my shoot?
We have many locations options that are free, pet-friendly, and accessible all around Orion Township and Oakland County. If you have a preference we're open to anything - except indoors! Please note - a driving fee will be added for all locations outside of the Lake Orion community.
Q: What if my desired location has additional costs?
Aside from add-ons (additional photos) and driving fees, if the desired location requires additional costs, the client will be expected to cover said costs for both our photographer and our assistant.
This includes: travel, parking, entrance fees, etc.
Q: Can I bring someone along with me for my session?
Yes, absolutely! We want you to feel comfortable and confident during your session -
bring along your parents, siblings, significant other, pets, etc.
Please note! If you plan on bringing your furry friend(s), kindly let us know. You will be solely responsible for handling your pet(s).
Q: What if I don't know how to pose?
Most people don't and that's completely fine! We're here to help you every step of the way including wardrobe, location, and posing. We like to keep sessions laid-back, natural and stress-free right from the start.
Q: What is your editing style?
Sharpe Shot Photography aims to create images that are natural, organic, warm, and bright. In post-production we edit out lint, fly-away hairs, and blemishes, as well as making any needed color corrections. We do not edit or alter body features. Please take a look through our portfolio to see examples of our editing style.
Q: Do you provide prints of my gallery?
We do not provide photo prints from your gallery - for your convenience we have created a list of local printing businesses in Oakland County featuring each of their specialties, whether you're looking for canvas prints, cards, mugs, and more - we have you covered!
Q: What are "add-ons" ?
Add-ons are additional photos you can purchase.
Think of our photo packages as the main course, add-ons are the side.
Q: Do you provide cinematography services?
We are solely a photography business - If you are interested in cinematography services and are located in the Metro Detroit area, we highly recommend "Dylan Scott Media".

If Client posts their watermarked gallery images on social media - e.g. downloading / screenshotting and making a direct post of said watermarked image(s), (not including teasers on stories - feel free to contact Kelly with any questions).

If Client downloads / screenshots and posts images on social media that they did *not* purchase from their gallery - this is theft.

If Client “edits” or alters their gallery images in any way, shape or form, including but not limited to: generative AI, altering the color, tone, cropping, etc.

***By reading our FAQ and signing our Contracts, said Client has agreed and consented to our services and expectations. By breaching our contract, said Client will be FINED $50 *per* image, and will be prohibited from further business with Sharpe Shot Photography***
